Disfunctional it was at best, our little family

In spite of all our efforts to be happy, or at least to pretend to be

Stop trying to appear as if all was perfect and rosy, that time has past

Trade your pride for reality, unveil the truth, remove the mask

Realize how broken our family truly was. How hurt and hopeless

And you were the cause – your aggression

Cause of all the fear

The tension

Immersed in a world of your control

Our only option was distraction

No matter how we tried, could never measure up to your expectations, your demands
