Distance calls us to reconnect.
Instead, we are divided behind these screens.
Society is becoming more anti-social.
Time is money and those numbers rule us.
Relax then, grab yourself a drink!
After all, there's nothing we can do.
Can't rebel now. Just take it easy.
Tomorrow is another day, we like to say.
Internet and VR headsets and smartphones galore!
On -- just keep them all on, and everything will be okay.
Nothing can stop this soul-consuming machine.

I have been taking some time away from writing. I haven't forgotten about Vocal, the truth is I just have been too busy pursuing other things to write online and honestly, my little family and I just had a really hard month between the flu and a weird eye infection/cold circulating our house. I'm currently sipping some warm peppermint tea because my throat is sore.
