Distortions

emotions cloud up my personal space

sublimating from my core

generating ephemeral steam

swirling all around

melding and melting

marbled like ink waiting for

pages to adorn

each minor mesmerized shift

exuding my sensual being

I have no control over the

fluctuating colors flying at speed

I try to ignore my mind 

flashing on constant display

I slip with the flowing 

sands in the hourglass

tricking down my heart

awaiting the inevitable reversal 

at the last grain joining me 

in the chamber

as my life is hoisted

grasped near the middle 

inverted, replaced

in its prescribed position

already, returning sand

from whence it came

of course, who's to say

which way is wrong, and

what is the right way around 

my face obscured by the 

permanent stormy haze

of time passing
