A Poem for Him
He was Godard and I was Karina
Together we did the macarena
It was a long distance kind of thing
But who cared, my darling?
He had a beard and full hair
But he was far than an heir
His feet stunk of old cheese,
He kept saying, oh please
He was talented and cunning
With his scripts and his camera running
No one could stop Godard and I Besides my father's sigh.
There were kilometers between us
But not the big and mighty Bosphorus
Our love infiltrated through the sky And as I told him till I die
It ended by a sidewalk,
On a cold summer day we couldn’t talk As our tears flooded We said goodbye and parted
We were no longer Godard and Karina
Who used to do the macarena
It was a long distance kind of thing,
I guess I cared, my darling.
