exposed my skin so I could expose my bone
if my insides seep
well I never needed them anyway
my lungs could dissolve
the way my breath dissolved
if I suffocate
well I never needed to take a single breath anyway
sold myself
for my soul
it’s death
& I’ve met that point
an infinite amount of times
except we’re all scared of death
physically
in an identity
“who I am” “I am” type of way
well I’ve never seen anything destroy me
more
than a sense of identity anyway.
About the Creator
Emily Serena
truly, my dharma (life purpose) is to write. although death is an interesting means of a beggining to me rather than an end, I still choose to spend my moments as Emily, in this physical dimension, in a revolution of poetry & silent speech
