Disinterested

I don’t do easy slogans,

Pigmented squares,

Support flags or ribbons.

I’m not into bumper sticker crusades,

Public breast beatings,

Wailings, or gnashings of teeth.

Red and orange are colors,

So are blue and black.

Holidays are mostly holy days

And months are blocks of time.

I’m not into feelings discourse

Or any kind of struggle

(Even that word is a little weird).

So don’t expect me

To jump on bandwagons

Unless a band is playing

And they don’t suck!
