Discomfort

Tormentor Of My Dreams

By Elizabeth RodriguezPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

When I thought of the Flame

Deep into that darkness flickering

I awoke

Flame - tormentor of my dreams

My passion is the ablaze flammability

In a kingdom full of burners

The day my soul grew caring

I heard a lullaby, splendid romancing

'Romance!' chuckled I, 'Yes Romance!'

My mind always strays to storms

Somewhat louder than the chance

Trance, trance!

I awoke

The day my soul grew silent

Pain - tormentor of my dreams

I brave the soundless, sweet nothing

Back into my memories, doubting

I crave the collateral, clear conviction

Darkness - tormentor of my dreams

In there, stepped a secure ‘satisfaction’

I felt a warm, incandescent glowing

Comfort - tormentor of my dreams

My certainty, I could not awaken.

About the Creator

Elizabeth Rodriguez

Very compelling, hard working, semi-procrastinator here with dreams and aspirations to create, protect, and inspire in this crazy, painful, beautifully flawed, wonderful life.

Love always.
