Disciple of Truth

A Poem

By Gary DavidsonPublished 9 years ago 1 min read

I am a disciple of truth,

endlessly seeking proof,

sacrifice myself to its altar,

regardless if it causes me to falter,

if it causes me pain or trouble,

evidence my path was dishonourable,

a humble servant to its force,

closing and opening doors,

both literal and metaphysical,

leading to the mystical,

and away from the egotistical,

a hard pill to be given or received,

but better than to be deceived

three things that can’t be hidden long,

the truth, the moon, the sun,

the falling of the veil will one day come

And a better way of life will overcome

surreal poetry
