My darling daughter’s public words
My daughter’s cat,
the runt of a feral litter
pawned off on me
is now an outdoor cat.
The dog, who moved in
during the pandemic (and sheds
three coats of fur) is
another animal whose care
has been made my responsibility.
No one will speak to me
while their kayaks and
abandoned
furniture
take up space in my garage.
It’s time
for a yard sale.
