Disappointment won’t help Anyone

and Familiarity isn’t always good

I made the same mistake again last night. And yesterday.

I was so close to changing my behavior…. Just one half-step behind.

I could rage

I could wallow,

Like I want to…

Like I used to…

Like I feel that I should.

But… I shouldn’t.

Why?

Well, actually… the real answer is why would I?

Anger won’t do anyone any good… just take up my energy.

Exploding rage might come naturally, unexpectedly, but it takes a lot of energy.

And wallowing… what will that do?

Take up my time. Just take up the precious time…

Time I was so angry about wasting in the first place.

That won’t do any good. Can’t ever get that time back.

I want that time back….

But wasting more if it certainly won’t help. We can’t change the past, but at least we can’t help but change the future.

Disappointment won’t help anyone. Least as all myself.
