Dirty Money

Bad money yet we can’t live with out it

Dirty Money

It glints with a promise, just to lure,

But its path is twisted, far from pure.

Born of shadows, deceit, and sin,

It carries a weight, dark within.

It builds no homes, it plants no seeds,

Only feeds on hunger and selfish needs.

What good is gain that poisons the soul,

A fleeting fire, not worth the toll?

But hands that take it, bear the stain,

A mark of greed, a trace of pain.

It whispers power, yet breeds despair,

A fleeting wealth, a hollow snare.

No roots will grow from dirty ground,

No peace within can there be found.

Its weight will drag the strongest low,

A fleeting prize, yet all will know.

For every coin ill-gotten, spent,

Will claim its due, its recompense.

Dirty money, a false disguise,

Burns the soul where its shadow lies.

True wealth lies in what we give,

The honest path, the life we live.

For dirty money may glitter bright,

Yet it fades to ash in the clear daylight.
