Dirt

mud and muck

By Trent OdlinPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

eyesight loved and lost,

disappearance of sense, only

now am I seeing

Dirt,

Mud,

and muck

centipede moss and

Fungal stares, polka-dotted leopards covered in facial hair

How horrible! Mixed messages from the

Ampersand. Dietary needs of the stars

Mix ocean and swift! Delivered door to door ungulation, hawk,

Reckless road rage of stairways the handlebars angle down

Walls unravel and crease

Deliver me your seed

Bury it in the

Dirt,

mud,

And muck.

Fastening the upper crust, tendrils of woods

Reach out! Kaleidoscope fascination, vestiges of

Pract and honey. Unearth from your

Dirt,

Chorus of dead stardust, word ataxia

A naked chant, chalked up to nerves and pride

I see you now

About the Creator

Trent Odlin

After getting diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease at the age of fifteen, forcing me out of school and uprooting my life, I spent the majority of the next five years in bed. There, I found writing, and my own style of surreal poetry.
