Welcome to my Diorama
Where the train goes round and
Round
Beside the mountain
In front of the station
Where the train goes round and
Round
On top of the misty mountain cold
Where the final bastion stand alone
Overlooking the only station
Where the train goes round and
Round
No noise No voice No cacophony
No birds shall chirp No wind shall blow
Even though it’s beside the sole forest
Only the melody and the Choo-choo train
Where the train goes round and
Round
Zooming into the station
A lone soul seats on the rocking chair
Living through the melody
As the cylinder’s pins strike the comb’s reeds
While observing the train on tracks
Where the train goes round and
Round
But,
What lies beyond this plane of view?
This destitution, this desolate woods?
This lone hill standing against the times?
The world beyond is worlds away
From the tracks that will not be astray
Where the train goes round and
Round
Stepping out into the abyss,
The world extends way down below
But nothing to the left right center.
There was the fall, and only the fall,
As the weightlessness falls behind,
Like passing through most viscous of fluids,
Compressing all left right and center.
Senses numb, there was nothing to feel,
But I caught the wooden plane.
Standing on my Diorama,
With the station and the hill,
The woods, the land, the time and space,
Devoid of substance and of being.
Devoid of melodious melody and the choo-choos of the train,
On top of these silent tracks,
Where the train shall forever
Stop.
