Author's Note: Crashed Into A Liquor Store!

Crashing into a building I frequented

Right down the road from where I worked

And I wasn't in California and I didn't see the shadows

Sorry the photo above is not mine and that wasn't me

He was mad though, the man that worked there you see

Eddie said he wouldn't tell on me if I can fix his prose

Dude wanted to impress his girl and I told him yessiree

~

If he can keep me from getting in trouble from the crash

Not have too much of an expense to pay, then I would most certainly

Take a look at my prior poetry and look into my memory cache

Or remind him that I didn't hit the liquor store purposfully

~

Afterall, my breaks went out of my car and I crashed!

~

Liquor was not hurt, nor were any customers smashed

Into, my car and I needed help stopping, my foot was out

Quickly I realized the building would stop me no doubt

Unless you want to tell the truth, and I will take some clout

Oh, and I was not drunk which was a good thing

Right into a liquor store. I was scared and froze

~

So it pushed the brick into the building, I did not doze

To look in the store, no sign of the crash. My car has a ring

On my front end in one small spot, what will it cost me, Eddie

Repairs are not cheap. You will fix my breaks? What will it be?

Everytime I think of this I will think of how much it cost you and me!
