Detective Brown was on the stand,

A witness, in a trial at hand,

She had been called, to testify,

On a case, that had left many high and dry.

The defendant, was on trial for theft,

And the evidence, was quite bereft,

Detective Brown, had been on the case,

And had found, some hidden place.

She had uncovered, a scheme so grand,

That it had led, to a criminal band,

And the defendant, was but a pawn,

In a game, that was quite drawn.

The judge, listened with great care,

And the jury, was aware,

That Detective Brown, had done her part,

And had uncovered, the real heart.

She'd followed leads, without fail,

And uncovered, a story so frail,

A mastermind, pulling the strings,

And using the defendant, for his own dealings.

The courtroom, was filled with cheer,

And the defendant, was finally clear,

Detective Brown, had done her job,

And had helped, bring the truth to the mob.
