Couples were in a dilemma.

It had nothing to do with a dish antenna.

The spouses argued about their interior design.

An impasse brewed at the time.

At wits' end, help was needed after all.

Who were they going to call?

The tension and drama grew and grew.

Having no design taste, that was true,

Michael Payne came to their rescue.

Calmly, he helped with the redo.

The task was Michael's alone.

Elegantly, he established the tone.

Meeting both husband's and wife's needs,

Michael's plans were more than good deeds.

Designing For The Sexes, their home dream came true.

Transforming the room along with an agreed hue,

everyone smiled at the close of the show,

because their home was aglow.

***

Yes, I was a fan of Designing For The Sexes on HGTV with Micheal Payne as the host from about 1999 to 2003. January 9-11, 2004, the Home & Landscape Show was held at the Dallas, TX Convention Center. Michael Payne was a celebrity guest. After giving his presentation, I had an opportunity to meet and chat for a few minutes. Being a celebrity on HGTV, I found Michael to be unflappable, extremely kind, and approachable. Unfortunately, the show just wasn't the same after HGTV changed hosts.

My pictures from that day are below:
