Deserving of Beauty

A short poem

Do I deserve to see the flower drop and flow?

The knowledge that it once bloomed so bright for those below

The wisdom to find solace in the bees that night

The right to stand in safety as it runs with such delight

Where will that flower go

What beauty will be found

Will the next eyes have the willingness to acknowledge the beauty that surrounds

How will it find its forever resting place?

Who will admire it if it's sheltered from all that seek its grace

The monsters come in herds

Seeking such pure beauty

They want it for their own

Will they see the cruelty

They seek it for its power

They seek it for its strength

They do not know

They must not know

The flower

It is

Dead
