Desert Mind Storm

A humble resurfacing

By Tiahni AdamsonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

How far my delicate mind wanders,

when I travel these open roads alone.

Compiling potential futures,

navigating options and exploring ideas.

Replaying songs that bring back old emotions and feelings.

Resurfacing parts of my mind I thought were well buried;

suppressed underneath the busyness of my constant reality.

I thought I’d pushed these thoughts deep enough down that not even the greatest divers could reach their depths.

But alas, my consciousness can transcend any reality,

and like all things that try to get covered up;

they come back to haunt those that bury them.
