Depression Rules My Mind

Yet I will fight this with everything I have got

Depression Rules My Mind

Depressed, drowning in my tears and fears,

A battle rages in the silence, loud and clear.

I feel the weight of every doubt,

The pressure’s rising, pulling me down.

I won’t go down; I will rise,

Through the darkness, I’ll defy the lies.

These feelings may rule my life for now,

one day I will wear my own crown.

The storm inside may tear me apart,

I’ll keep fighting, with all my heart.

The tears may fall, the fears may call,

Still, I stand tall, through it all.

I won’t surrender, I’ll fight the fight,

I’ll hold on tight, through the endless night.

Depression may try to steal my crown,

Yet I’ll wear it proudly, I won’t back down.

And when the dawn breaks, I’ll be strong,

A warrior reborn, where I belong.

No longer a prisoner to my mind’s cruel game,

I rise as a phoenix, igniting my flame.

Although it might just not be today.
