numb

No more tears rolling down my cheeks

Feeling lost, feeling bleak

Behind my eyes

Despair lies

To put it lightly

If I could I would fight me

Scare off the wicked

Feeling I haven’t been able to kick yet

Truth be told I can barely move

Body so weak and out of groove

I just lay here in bed with my blanket fort

Waiting for my heavenly escort

Past the point of restless mind

Hopelessly searching to never find

Anything to ignite that light

My life once so bright

Trying to find my way through it all

Never in my life have I ever felt so small
