My mind is a drought

They say happiness will find you,

But I see sadness a lot too.

It snakes up into my heart spreading darkness.

I find myself drowning in everlasting sadness.

Just when I thought I've made it through,

I'm back drowning in the blue,

Finding a hole in the ground,

Everywhere darkness surrounds.

The kind of you never know are there.

Will my heart ever repair?

Until you go take another step,

You'll never create a healing web,

I'm so tired of this life,

It's stabbing my back with a knife.

I hate it, I hate it, I hate it.

I can't find the way out,

Everything is blurry, I see famine and drought.

I feel confused.

My mind is bruised.

How do I navigate my way out?

Is there someone who will rescue me from this drought?
