Here, comes Deepawali, the festival of light,
With a lot of fun and joyful delight.
The day is shining, and the night is bright,
May you get illuminated with the supreme light!
Houses decorated like beautiful brides,
With beautiful chandeliers and star lights,
Garlands of flowers and colourful sights,
Rosy floral arts soothing to eyes.
Earthen candles everywhere,
Spiritual fragrance in the air,
Children bursting fire crackers,
Flowerspots, skyrockets and sparklers.
Children wearing new dresses,
Mothers cooking delicious dishes,
Family and friends get together,
Exchanging gifts and wishes forever.
May this Diwali bring prosperity,
Endless joy and no cruelty,
May you have a healthy life,
Free from tension, free from strife!
