Deep Weight

Upward from the Dark

I lay with visions fading into a vignette of darkness,

boulder-like energy looming above my own heart.

I know these arms are strong enough,

yet this tangled mind makes no connection.

Fear lives here.

What will I see after the darkness fades?

No one will tell me, I should remember.

I choose not knowing.

The light does return and it says, "reach for this vine."

Falling for a trace of moving color,

I am awake now

About the Creator

Devyn Marie

A poetic expression of deeper water. An outlet for my philosophies. A refuge for deep-thinkers who are curious about root causes and connections. A home for the profound within me. A place for love to grow.
