I want to create long, luxurious strings of words to tantalize your mind like jellyfish tentacles drifting electric color through silky, rippling water to soothe you into my dream. Myriad ribbons of syllables candy-flossing your lips and ears as I seduce you into reading aloud, sound slipping over your lips into soft summer air, an ellipsis of spirit-soaring elongated labyrinths to lose yourself completely.

Evergreen melodies of leaf light on dazzling leaf mosaic paths winding waterward, earth dipping and tripping under roots, moss, lower and lower, down on the banks where the river sings through spider lilies and cypress knees, below the fall line where rapids slow into depths refusing to hurry; the ocean will continue to wait, tide rising, falling, tumbling translucent tendrils of tentacles with seaweed, kelpy strands of bursting brine skeining down the expanding beach. Wind desiccating castles the waves didn’t reach, dry moats beyond tide pools while pelicans plunge beyond breakers and ships dot the horizon aflame with a riot of red, pink, orange, and blue, water refracting reflections into a dazzle of color and light, liquid gold rolling towards shore.
