I wander, I wander, I wander through the night,

watching new souls rise to meet me.

In the evening dusk, I brush against you,

you feel a sudden chill, goosebumps speckle your skin,

as my wispy form and draping robes cut through the breeze.

My icy embrace gives the dead their pallor,

makes even the living turn pale and tremor.

Fear me, shun me - for your own sake.

For without me, Life would lose its preciousness.
