Dear Vocal Challenge:
I had fun creating poem, stories and life experiences
I cannot count how many stories and poem I created
I finally got three top stories this year
I figured if your stories get Top Stories, you don’t win the Challenge
So I hold my breath wishing one of my poems or stories will win someday
I love reading other people entries to the Challenges
I hope my favorite read would win, too.
I look forward to new challenges that come up.
I feel the challenges help my imagination fuel go
I get excited when there is a new challenge
Another chance to win you and impress you
I will wow you and I am going to win you someday.

I feel you. We've been a part of Vocal for approximately the same amount of time. I just had my first Top Story this last week, followed by my second only a few days later. I'm pretty sure it's because a friend & exceptional writer, Judey Kalchik, lifted it up & drew the attention of the curators for that page. They have a lot on their plates & I'm sure have difficulty keeping up with all the stories that get published each day. I have difficulty keeping up just with those I follow! But you've caught their eye. I'm sure success will follow. BTW, I enjoyed your epistolary poem very much.

Challenges can be frustrating but try to remind yourself that some of them have 10k - 20k entries so try not to take it personal. This is a great poem that sums it up!! :)

I didn't realise you had been here two years more than me, I feel that my name on a piece immediately means it will not be considered for a challenge, but I am still extremely successful, in my opinion, on Vocal so not unhappy, and I would be very happy if a placed. Love your poem and really hope you get at least a place
