Dear Me

a letter to myself

By John SmithPublished 9 months ago • 1 min read

Dear me,

I know you are tired,

carrying days that feel too heavy,

smiling when your heart feels quiet.

Dear me,

you tried your best, even when no one saw it.

You stayed kind in a hard world,

and that is not a small thing.

Dear me,

you made mistakes, yes,

but you also learned.

You fell down, but you stood up again,

slowly, carefully, in your own way.

Dear me,

stop being so harsh on yourself.

You are human, not perfect.

Healing is not fast, and that is okay.

Dear me,

remember the dreams you once whispered to the night.

They are not dead.

They are waiting for you to believe again.

Dear me,

keep going.

One soft step at a time.

You are stronger than you think.
