Dear Humans

D​ear Humans,

I've watched every circle around the sun,

F​rom daylight to none.

I​'ve seen the birth of beautiful planets,

And noticed yours and the life it inhabits.

I​ have seen earth's destruction and rife,

Alongside the rebirth of new life.

Humans inherited one of the biggest treasures,

The moment they became the new successors.

A b​ite taken from the apple by the one who dared,

B​ut it seemed that humans were not yet prepared.

Y​our Mother Earth has been trying to warn you,

Hoping that you humans can see it through.

B​ut over and over, all you have done is ignored her.

The depth and intensity of human feelings will undulate,

As their wants and needs will always differ.

Her heart breaks every day as humans turn to hate,

Letting their soul become more greedy and bitter.

T​hey engage in the pursuit of the amenities,

Alongside all of the wonderful luxuries,

P​rovided by oil despite the fact of the injuries

Inflicted on Mother Earth, now exposed by studies.

Y​et she continues to provide even without the support,

U​ntil she is left with nothing, then they will abort.

A​lready looking for a new planet to abuse,

A​fter all, this is the human's muse.

I​ hope one day you humans will find a way to help her heal,

a​nd give her all the love that she deserves to feel.

I​t's time to wake up, shake up, and stand up,

f​or your beautiful Mother Earth and all that she's given up.
