Dear Friend

Dear friend,

I write to you in verse,

In hopes that my words will disperse,

And reach your heart with their gentle touch,

And fill your soul with love and such.

For you are dear to me, my friend,

And I hope this poem will send,

My deepest thoughts and feelings are true,

And let you know how much I value you.

You are the light that guides my way,

The sunshine on my darkest day,

You lift me up when I am down,

And chase away my every frown.

Your kindness knows no bounds,

Your heart, so full of love surrounds you,

And I am blessed to call you a friend,

Until the very end.

So here's to you, my dearest friend,

May our bond never end,

May we share life's joys and sorrows too,
