Dear Dad

The Unspoken Lullaby

Dear Dad, a whisper on the wind,

A yearning in my heart within.

A name I never learned to say,

A face I only dream of, day by day.

I'm sorry we never had our chance,

To dance or sing or simply glance.

To share a secret, whisper a prayer,

To feel your love, a burden to bear.

But life unfolds in mysterious ways,

Leaving echoes in forgotten days.

I search for fragments, piecing parts,

A longing puzzle in my beating heart.

Though you're not here, your absence sings,

A melody of what might have been.

I carry your spirit, a guiding light,

A father's love, forever bright.

So forgive me, Dad, for words unsaid,

For tears uncried, for stories unread.

In the tapestry of life's grand design,

Your love remains, forever mine.
