somehow your job.

i would never make my well-being

somehow your responsibility.

i would never make my happiness

somehow your obligation.

no, those are all on me.

i'm not half of a whole

i'm whole.

i don't expect you to complete me

i'm complete.

i'm not helpless.

i'm independent.

i understand.

i'm far from naive.

i don't want to be needy because

that eventually becomes obligation.

i know what I want from life and

i know what i know and

i want Christ Jesus at the center

and you by my side.
