Dead Things have beauty too

tulips and two lips

Dead things

Have beauty too.

Their beauty is

without time's

fatal change.

Frozen signs of

What once was

Seen

Immersed in what

Remains.

It's simple enough

- and self contained,

but need for money

demands a change.

This pace breeds hate

For life

And all its simplicities

engulfed in misery.

A pity party for me and

For you

Why in dead days does food taste so good?

Keeping my heart full and the arteries that lead there

Clogged and waiting

for Corona to pass us by.

Let the air

settle again.

Then

O, then

I will be OK.

But until that day,

I'll say:

Dead things have beauty too.

Their beauty is suspended

like this very hour

and although I detest the draining power

I will remain

Content with rain

that pours in showers.
