Daydream

a new me

Colour my flaws but you can't

cover it all, I'm sorry

Take a good look I can't be

the girl that you want, that's not me

Look at my sagged and faded jeans

Look at my skin, it's unclean

I'm not the queen of beauty

Never been made to be pretty

And yes, it hurts a little bit

It's okay, I can handle it

I make up a brand new world

One to pretend in, when I'm alone

A new world, a new me

A daydream, feels like reality

She's perfect, she's not me

But she feels like me, and that's all I need

A new life, a new home

And in that home, I'm no longer alone

I'm happy, finally

Who cares if this is just a daydream?
