Dawn

A Mid-Walk Thought

By Kale SinclairPublished about a year ago 1 min read

An atmospheric buzzing of sunlight burning through

the blanket of night is the sound of dawn.

The bringer of warmth and light,

Dawn is the melter of dew residue on the lawn.

The avenger of blight, Dawn is the sword of growth

that has never withdrawn.

Dawn is the song of the wild - the waker of birds - the engine that burns -

Dawn is the morning star’s very first child - burning acres of worms.

The painter of clouds and disturber of water,

Dawn is a soldier prepared to slaughter.

For darkness is purged by a barrage of radiation,

photosynthesizing the landscape into a primordial soup of germination.

Dawn carves the human aura, shapes souls and molds reality.

Dawn even controls the scheduled ripening of the

orchid's oldest apple tree.

Dawn lingers within a moment, neither beginning nor end.

Dawn is simply time - light that can bend.
