Darkness Within: A Battle Against the Ravages of Cancer

Fighting the Darkness with Courage and Strength

A shadowy malice, it preys and it feeds,

With stealthy tendrils, it creeps and it breeds.

A loathsome curse, it writhes and it wriggles,

With insidious whispers, it lures and it giggles.

This beast of the night, it claws and it rages,

A scourge of the earth, it fouls and it cages.

It creeps in the darkness, it crawls in the light,

A relentless adversary, it never loses sight.

It poisons the soul, it corrupts the mind,

A fiendish foe, with no care for mankind.

It brings down the mighty, it weakens the brave,

A malevolent force, with no soul to save.

But we stand strong, with our swords drawn high,

We'll never falter, we'll never say die.

With courage and fortitude, we face the fray,

And we'll fight to the end, with every breath we take.

For we know this foe, we've seen it before,

Its twisted features, its darkened core.

And we'll not cower, we'll not tremble with fear,

For we are warriors, and we will persevere.

We'll battle with valor, we'll strike with might,

And we'll never back down, without a fight.

For in this war, we'll emerge the victor,

And we'll vanquish the darkness, with a force so much richer.

"And we'll not cower, we'll not tremble with fear, For we are warriors, and we will persevere." I love that :)
