When the soul and mind... willingly intertwine

Her day had been long and she felt tired

It was the caffeine pulsating through her blood that had her wired

Kicking off her shoes and laying down seemed to be her best choice

As her eyes closed, her body twitched at the sound of a voice

So loud and clear...

Adjusting to focus on listening to what she thinks she heard

Was it my name, a cry, a moan, or maybe my mind acting absurd

Next came the touch as soft as air caressing my finger

Followed by a scent that pleasantly lingered

The warmth of his body pressed again mine

With a potent taste on his lips resembling red wine

A moment heated with passion and heavy moans

I suddenly dreaded the thought of once again being alone

Soaking it all in to make the memory stick

As my eyes forcibly open to see...

it was all just a trick...

My mind was playing on me...
