Dark

by Mario Hammon

By Mario HammonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

My skin is dark

My thoughts are too

But You are Light

And You are truth

My skin is dark

So dark they say

My skin is filled

With so much pain

Though life is dark

And we are blind

Your word is light

It gives us sight

And though I'm dark

And unashamed

For some

Resentment still remains

That's why they bleach

And try to lighten

Because of Him

They are not frightened

My skin is dark

But He is light

He made the day

As well as night

The night is dark

The day is bright

Who controls both?
