Dark Mad Crazy

There is a room inside my head,

where reason sleeps and walls turn red.

Laughter cracks across the floor,

asking for one night more.

Dark thoughts dance without a name,

every memory joins the game.

Nothing stands in perfect place,

everything wears another face.

Mad enough to chase the storm,

crazy enough to make it warm.

Hands full of sparks and broken plans,

fire slipping through my hands.

I speak to silence like a friend,

never knowing where thoughts end.

The clock keeps moving all the same,

time forgets who I became.

Windows shake with restless air,

ghosts of choices gather there.

I count old dreams one by one,

watching each come undone.

Some nights grin with crooked teeth,

pulling hidden things beneath.

Still I walk and still I stay,

finding pieces in the grey.

Dark does not always destroy,

madness does not kill all joy.

Sometimes chaos lights a flame,

sometimes ruin changes shape.

So if you see me looking strange,

know I have survived the change.

Wild heart, untidy mind,

still searching for what I might find.
