Dangerous Wishes VI

I am sorry... that I am thinking of such a temptation... again.

I am, again

dealing with a...

very certain, temptation, but...

not with what one might think.

I ask, again‐

Can I still be forgiven?

If I give in, to this...

if it is, in fact...

Sin—

If so, then

I certainly will not commit another...

that is, if my heart were to just stop‐

The crimes of my hands would be no more...

that is, if every thought were to simply be gone‐

I am again, making wishes I ought not, but...

if these were to become true, then

I certainly will not make any other

Dangerous Wishes—

Not another temptation will come before me...

that is, if there were no body to tempt‐

My eyes would never again be caught where they shouldn't be...

that is, if they were to simply stay closed‐

And maybe, I'd actually see hope if the man in the mirror weren't so opposed‐

Am I the only who thinks of this?

This weight...

my heart I cannot lift

and I refuse to lay on another

my burden...

I'd rather burn in this, Burning Paradise, but..

Will that then not birth its own hurt?...

for all that will be left behind‐

Why would I do such a thing?

Certainly it is not me that wants such...

this wish can't belong to me

nor can the others that reside on this list‐

The Most Dangerous Wishes—

About the Creator

JM

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
