DAILY DISTRACTIONS

The Things That Do It

By Jon H. DavisPublished about a year ago 1 min read
RAUCOUS RAVENS © JON H. DAVIS - NORTHERN LIGHTS STUDIO

Distracting drilling dominates the soundscape

Intruding upon daily tasks and daydreams

Seeking soulful sonorous sounds, elusive.

Termites chewing overhead raining sawdust on my head

Raucous ravens rattle my nerves, while trying to be pensive.

Ambulance sirens alert and aggravate with annoyance

Cacophony continuously surrounds, leading to

Trauma caused by sonic invasions as it infects my ears

Intruding upon imagination,

Overwhelming auditory senses, leaving me

Numb, not nurtured.
