Daily Distractions
A Poem About Being Distracted

Desperately trying to concentrate
In a world full of chaos and wonder
Stalling every idea that comes to mind
Thoughts come and go, never come to life
Reminders of lost plans haunt the day
Always disappear into the dark
Count the days of procrastination
Taunting every plan that is born today
Imagination runs wild but halts production
Obedient to the disorder of my mind
Naïve to the aspirations of before
