Cycling seasons

By: Adele Pena C1993

Rose petals in the wind, gently falling from the flower no longer in bloom. Sparrows young ready to be on their own. Summer's romances ending.

Fall begins. Leaves change color, creating rainbow forests. Harvest time is here. The turkey is eaten with delight, and a nap follows.

The Winter winds set in, and Christmas arrives, cold as usual. Most of the birds have gone South for warmer weather. Snow falls, children sledding. But the freeze is almost over. The snow is melting into slush, and the trees show signs of budding.

Spring's arrival brings warmer weather. Winds change in direction again, and the rain pours. New flowers bloom, waking the bees. And the migrating birds return.

As summer hits, the hot sun encroaches, and water becomes a refreshing relief. The roses are in bloom again, as the cycling of seasons re-begins.
