Cycling Into the Night

...

By Martina EmmePublished 9 years ago • 1 min read

Cycling into the night.

Traffic lights show the way home.

You

are behind me.

How am I the one that follows, then?

Cycling into the light.

You are not behind me,

nor ahead.

Will the bright sky show me the way back to you?

Cycling with the wind that fights my strength.

People of shadows around me,

but you are nowhere to be found.

Cycling into the night,

and in the darkness I am lost and alone.

Can you see me on the road,

searching for the memory of you?

When you are not behind, nor ahead...

I am

alone.
