I cannot help but feel us drift apart

As if the waves are taking you to sea

But currents keep me here eternally

While waves are crashing coldly on my heart.

There were sincerest greetings at the start

But now when we are passing by I see

That all were are impelled to do is plea

We are too busy now to words impart.

I will not blindly let you drift away

And I know I could talk to you again

To possibly convince you here to stay

I can't afford to lose my greatest friend.

But you know that it's not your price to pay,

And watch me drown and spiral to our end.
