walking a line where
it seems
the pain is just as sweet as the healing
when dealing love like a drug,
but we recover and the air clears,
perspective is gained,
now i can address that fear
of losing you,
accept that you are human too.
the challenge is to forgive,
and remain open
to the next [source of] love that is presented.
the work is in not shutting down at
the first sign of anything that requires vulnerability,
despite the betrayal of old friends, and lovers
who
[in the past i allowed to] abuse access to that space.
keep loving anyway, even in the rain.
always with intention.
