On a bed of evergreen, she lay
Arms folded neatly behind her head
Fingers interlaced
Index, pointer
Twirling a few stray strands of golden tresses
Sneaking away from her ponytail
⛅
Gazing up at the morning blue
Friendly clouds, cumulus, greet her
Stimulating imagination creations
Plush pillow toppers
Downy soft dream makers
Entice day awake visions
⛅
Bunnies bounce across the azureous
Cottontail, like Peter
Short and fluffy backends
Trailing across the skyline
Cerulean watercolor paintings
Brushstrokes of an ivory tuft series
⛅
Swirling cloud forms; a feel-good feeling
Morph before her hazel eyes
Fanning the firmament, angels appear
Aerial messengers
Soul whisperers; blue ribbonists
Feathery antennae; wispy reassurance
⛅
Airspace connections drift along
Drifting too, she floats on cumulus concoctions
Mountain tops become visible
Cushy stepping stairs lead to soft, rounded peaks
Making the climb; triumphant ascension
Reiterating the sky's the limit
⛅
One foamy plateau, a vertex view
Reveals puffy letter notes
Skyward bulletins
Breathy-air secrets clear as day
Etched in water drops
Suspended in the misty blue
⛅
News so sweet like cotton candy
Long stretching against Lyra
Sugar cotton wool
She tastes the confectionery
Pulling apart and reshaping treats
Her cumulus contentment
⛅
She lay in the meadow one early morn
On solid ground
Yet part of her rose to the clouds
Magnificent blue
Daring to step out of her comfort zone
She soared above and beyond
