Crying in the Rain

A Poem

drip, drip, drip,

the drumming of the Rain,

whispered wind wails,

drowning out the pain,

standing in the cold,

peering through the pane,

dreams of loving unity,

but I’m crying in the rain,

want someone to hold,

the ceasing of the pain,

it seems a world away,

those fateful brighter days,

basking in the glory,

of your brilliant rays,

such an adventurous life,

we each had our part to play,

would of given my life for you,

from you I’d never stray,

it all seemed so good,

how was it just a phase,

so here I am alone again,

just crying in the rain,
