I never told you how I felt.

I never will.

Crushes have a way of crushing you.

You adore someone that has no clue you exist.

Seven years ago.

We were still kids.

Just joking around in Spanish class.

I thought that year would be different.

I thought I'd have you. 

Something to myself for once.

A tiny butterfly of a secret.

Holding it in the palm of my hand, 

willing it to not die.

Limerence.

I was a fool to my delusions.
