Crucifixion and Resurrection

The power and glory of Jesus

By Cheryl E PrestonPublished 5 months ago • 1 min read

Nailed to the cross for six hours

The Lord and Savior was crucified

He said it is finished, hung His head, and died

Torn from top to bottom was the temple veil

The sky grew dark the earth began to quake

Dead bodies came out of their tombs

Everything around did tremble and shake

They thought they had won and it was over

His body was laid in a borrowed tomb

Those who had been closest to Him

Ran and locked themselves in a room

Early Sunday morning, the stone was rolled away

The angels said He is risen,

He told you He wouldn't stay

Don't seek the living among the dead

Jesus rose with all power

In heaven and earth, just like He said
