Gone with the Wind

watching life go by. . . .
having a loving, happy wife. . . .
returning home from chemo treatment . . . .
watching your wife say, bye, bye. . .
. . . gone with the wind. . .

watching life go by. . . .
going out to see her friends. . .
returning home from chemo treatment . . . .
walking into an empty, quiet house. . .
seeing all her possessions. . .
. . . gone with the wind. . .

watching life go by. . . .
calling her phone again and again. . .
walking into an empty, quiet house. . .
becoming depressed, crying. . .
. . . gone with the wind. . .

Thank you for reading. I forgive you, my wife, for abandoning me when I had cancer. You were a healer and helped so many people.

All my friends did the same and told me to leave them alone. I had one friend who used to come and see me from out of town, but he no longer visits, and instead sends money. I miss him. I miss all my friends. I miss my wife who ghosted me.

It starts with love. .. . This is common for cancer patients. I went through hell being alone. I am writing this alone, crying. I have moved on and found a woman whom I hope will become my true love. I can only dream . . . and repeat the following mantra.
